Architectural Committee Minutes

Nov. 6, 2018....WOW!   more detailed...well done.

What a great job this committee has done to be more informative. This is the best I have seen come out of this committee in the 14 years I have been here.  Thank's committee.

So with reference to the approval for a house on 316th and I. What does "house may go over 24 feet" mean? Is it the ARC saying it is OK to go over 24 feet, or is it the applicant stating that the house may go over 24 feet and the ARC has given it's approval anyway? Is it OK then to let my trees go over 16 feet, they may.

Well how about that...some real info about happenings in SHOA.

The format of the minutes is nicely done. I agree that by giving some detail, more is needed to clarify. Was exceeding the 24 ft. limit approved or was this a conditional approval, expecting the height to be adjusted in the plans/building ?

Also, on the 12 x 12 structure, is this on a developed (lot & home) ? when was it built to glean the "pre-existing" designation ?

Has the Committee mentioned anything about the HOA proceeding with enforcement on pre-existing structures that do not conform to the BOT's new covenant restriction on shed roofs, banning porches or overhangs of any kind ?

Apparently the HOA has been sending out violation notices on many of these. That's a strange way of building good will and community solidarity. Oh well, who needs it, right ? Happy Holidays !
