I think their letterhead should have a logo with the symbol for flipping the bird, and the slogan "what we are doing is none of your business". After the committee has been asked by numerous members to provide complete minutes, this is what they provide ?

They have been tasked with rewriting the rewrite of the Lighting covenant, and many will be watching to see that process, since there were NO minutes published during the first round of Lighting related meetings.

Okay, if this is a short meeting, when will more of substance be discussed ?

Did you see this in the Weekender?

"The Architectural Review Committee would like to invite to come down to the meetings to discuss the lighting covenant. The meetings are at 9am on Tuesdays, in the board room at the business office."

I'd like to ask:

Kurt Olds (trustee) Kolds@surfsideonline.org
Annette DeLeest (trustee) annette_deleest@comcast.net
DeWayne Mott (co-chair) dinrlmott@msn.com
Vivian Wattum
Cindi Pellerin
Jan King
Bob Zigler
Sharon Reuling
Tom Rogers

a question:

Why is this in the winter and on Tuesdays at 9 AM so that people that Part Timers, people that work during the day, and RVers can't come,?

Why not have an open discussion on Facebook and let every in on the conversation?

When was this association open about anything? You have two J Placers as trustees. These people will not give up on the non-issue lighting covenant. Do you really think it matters what any opposition to the lighting covenant want's to say? Only place you can say anything is on this blog, and it is about to end. Good luck.

I guess better late than never to ask for input! We attended a couple of these meetings and were only told “we’re working on improving the lighting covenant”. A discussion on Facebook would be great. The majority of members don’t live here full time and should be able to voice their opinions. I sure hope nothing is rushed into like previously!

Michael S is nothing more than a troll with a fake identity. His comments will no longer be allowed. All he does is attack others and defend the J Place tree coalition.

He accuses me of false information. What he considers "false information", is any truth about the tree issues. I do not lie. I have no agenda as he does. I provide the blog as a service for the members. Nothing more.

I have attempted to keep people like this troll from posting, but there is only so much that I can do. I can delete his trash talk, and will continue to do so. We have seen him attack others, the same as he has done to me. He adds nothing to a rational conversation, and to accuse the blog host of false information, crosses my line. He is no longer welcome on this blog.

Thank you George. I couldn’t figure out why he had a problem with my comments. Anyone that has dealt with the committees and the BOT knows there is a problem with open communication
