Tree lighting tour...
It has been suggested that Surfside have an out door tree lighting tour. This would be much like the garden tour. This would be a good example of how the trees on stump side could be decorated., and showcase the beauty of decorated compliant trees.
First, you would need to check with your personal attorney to carefully go over the lighting covenant to make sure you were following the simple rules.
One 60 watt bulb would not make much of a display and not sure if it can be colored...
Make sure if you placed a star on top, it would not exceed the height limit.
The light can not exceed your property line.
I found this compliant tree on I Street today. It could be a good candidate for the contest. It could even be a candidate for a community Christmas tree with members gathered around for the grand lighting of the one 60 watt bulb. "Oh Christmas tree, Oh Christmas tree"

I'm sure the J Placers will do it.
The CC&Rs don't apply to them.
There trees can be any height.
The rest of us get to decorate fake trees under 16'. Hooray!
It sounds like an outdoor tree lighting/height complaint tour.
Clever J Placers.
Thanks George I needed a laugh today!
Cox, this one is partly right up your alley with the trees. Tell us about the trees and the J Placers again please.
As you say. you're very smart and you rarely make mistakes.
George - Don't book your stand-up comedy tour just yet.
George, you could in the holiday spirit show some of the very nicely trimmed trees in Surfside, but no you want to play bah humbug!
6:06.... I'm smart enough to recognize that you aren't. Good Luck with your Harassment lifetime Achievement competition.
Make sure they have a prepubescent boys choir caroling the trees, that will get Clancy's attention.
That's a good one 11:38 AM. Lol.
He will do what he will do.
Sorry, you're wrong 4:40. People on the west side of J have the same restrictions with the tree covenants and are required to follow them just as you. Try to get your facts straight before you post your hate next time.
To 11:38 & 11:48, same person? Either way you must be so proud of that comment. Seem we know where your head is at.
How is it THAT comment stays on here while others get deleted.
Sounds like a great idea! Where shall we all meet for the tour? Might I suggest at the stumps by George's property line. Seems appropriate.
Lol, Stumpside will be the envy of LBP.
Ladies and Gentlemen we have witnessed a historical moment here on the Blog. At 9:21 the Cox made the shortest comment in his long time on here. I applaud this first attempt at brevity. Everything starts with baby steps.
While I don't truly believe that you do wish 6:06 luck it doesn't matter. You pretty much have the HLA award in the bag.
There's The Reverend. Welcome back.
3:20 - You're hot on their heels for the harassment crown, speaking of proud.
320 - not only a smart arss, but blasphemy as well. If you're a reverend, I'm a big game hunter.
Brevity is good for the soul. Consider that the next time you want to post.
Is big game hunting good for the soul ? When it has no connection to survival, it is instinctive for most humans to feel remorse over gratuitous killing. What does that have to do with the holiday season ?
This is funny. Wasn't it right after this suggestion that the new lighting policy was introduced?
