I will not be attending the Board meeting.
I wish that I could, but with the veiled personal threats and truly hate comments on here and made to others about me, I would be foolish to attend and subject myself to harassment and personal threats.
The Board President has allowed and fostered a climate that discourages myself and others from attending a Board meeting. He is clearly a large part of our association problems. At this time, I have to rely on others to provide me with information.
I know for a fact that there is and will be a weapon in that building in addition to the weapon carried by deputy Travis. In my opinion I have seen and been told about those who lack mental and emotional stability.
I hope that when we have a leadership change, the climate will change and everyone can attend a Board meeting, be treated with respect and able to speak freely. That is not the case now.
This is why many members do not attend Board meetings or volunteer on Committee's.
Am I paranoid? Maybe a little.
Maybe you should call the deputy and tell him who else is going to be bringing a weapon, you make it sound as if the weapon will be there to assault you?
That's the reason a lot of members won't stand up it's the retaliation. There are
a lot of members that want change. There has to be another way. It's sad that this is happening to you George
Well, most would say a lot, not a little.
I'm willing to lay odds that people who come on here to defend George on his belief of a threat are the same ones who accused the office staff of overreacting to an actual one.
The subject matter chosen on this blog is, in many cases, a direct conflict with the Surfside covenants.
What did you expect when you post contrary subjects.....flowers?
The majority have voted, yet you continue to bulldoze ahead with this veiled underdog attitude.

How much longer are you going to continue with this "woe is me, I'm a victim crap? It's bad enough you continued with this but now you are adding in a weapon to the charade? What B.S. Here's a news flash. Everyone knows where you live so if they truly did "lack mental and emotional stability" as you say and wanted to do you harm they would pay you a visit to confront you not in a room full of people including a deputy, so spare us your dime store psychology.
Of course you have to blame the Board President once again. But how ironic it is that you claim that he creates a climate of disrespect since there is more disrespect, hate and falsehoods on this site almost daily from you and others then at any board meeting because you insist on having comments be anonymous. As long as that goes on a leadership change won't make a difference. Psych 101 would say that makes you delusional, not paranoid.
This all goes back to you getting your feelings hurt by a couple members who stood up and called you out on lies you said as a Trustee. Or to put it in non psych layman terms, you can dish it out but you can't take it. Simple as that.

Deb has admitted that she can't take the heat that comes with using her name. The people who are fussing about names on the blog are the people who want a target for retaliation.
With the ridiculous gun laws in effect, a permit to carry can allow concealed or open-carry. There seem to be plenty of nuts out there who just feel naked without their sidearm. That's the kind of environment we have allowed our government to help create.
Law enforcement agencies do not support the mentality that more guns carried by citizens makes anyone more safe. In many if not most instances of a shooter or shooters picking off innocent citizens it is far too difficult to know WHO is the perpetrator - say in a school, a shopping mall, a crowded place. Untrained armed bystanders can easily end-up shooting one another mistakenly.
Dressed in street clothes in a crowd, such people can easily blend into the crowd. These are situations best dealt with by professionals, and even then, mistakes are sometimes made, injuring bystanders by "friendly" fire.
Apparently 6:41 feels justified scoffing at George's sense of caution AND threatening him. Nice piece of work hypocrite. So if George or someone on the blog SAYS something you don't like, you feel justified to threaten them ? You are very confused, and living in your own head rather than the real world.
Probably so. I'm one of them.
The office never was very appealing, but now it looks like a ghetto gas station. I'm sure the bulletproof glass will make people from all over want to join our community....not!

You fail to acknowledge that the "disrespect, hate, and falsehoods" are a direct result of a Board that is totally out of control, and likes it that way.
This blog provides a valuable service to an association that has gone totally sideways.
Which position do you fill?
That would be your only logical reason for an attack on George, other than usual delusional paranoia.
deLeest is often ridiculously harsh on George, and pops-up here now and then. Of course Kirby Smith is another righteous voice who scorns owner rights and has great disdain for rational discourse that proposes covenant review or revision. He often refers to such conversation as seething with hate - or in other words, not aligned with his status-quo insistent friends.
Endorsing change has nothing to do with hate. It's the outcome of asking the question "how could this policy serve the community better", and that actually comes out of CARING about the community and others.
8:53 is entitled to their opinion and I hope they get satisfaction out of their rant as well. But if you want to talk about delusional paranoia maybe you should first go take a long look in the mirror.
11:00am - I prefer to speak for myself on this blog, post using my name and have never said I can’t take the heat when I do. As deceitful, unethical and downright mean as people can be on this blog and in the Boardroom, I can take the heat. It is sad that so many post anonymously, either out of cowardice or fear.

Mirror again? Try to come up with something you haven't used to death.
Look in your own mirror, and remember, you're not paranoid if they are all acting against you. Seem like a pretty good analogy for a Board of Trustees going off the rails, and attacking it's own members.As a member or sycophant, that look should make you ashamed.
