The winning fish was 19 1/2 inches long.
The officials said that there were more big fish this time. All winners were 18 to over 19 inches long.
With nearly 60 entrants, it was slightly less than last year, but the crowd seemed bigger. They ran out of hot dogs. Everyone had a great time.
Thank's to the fish derby volunteers for all their hard work. They made this a special day for many. It takes a lot of planning to have an event like this happen. This is what Surfside is really all about.
