Board Meeting Summary

SURFSIDE HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION

REGULAR BOARD MEETING SUMMARY

September 19, 2020

Gary Williams called the meeting to order at 9:00 AM. Trustees present via Webex

were Gary Williams, Scott Winegar, Rudd Turner, Ric Minich, James Clancy, Annette

deLeest, Kurt Olds and Mark Scott.

Gary’s safety message was on the horrible fire season our state has experienced.

Remember to be diligent when having a campfire. Limit exposure to smoke if you

have health issues. With it being so dry for so long, be careful when the rains come,

the roads will be slick with oil when wet.

The approval of the fireworks fine proposal was tabled until legal language is approved.

The appeal of complaint #5553 was accepted; the converted van will be allowed to be

stored in the RV storage area.

The appeal of the water charges of $11.37 was denied and payment will be required

for overuse of water.

The relocation of the 357th path was tabled as there are no plans to show how this

would be done.

For the payoff request on the property at 16-08-06, the offer of $10,000.00 was

accepted.

The PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) was approved for the water department at

a cost of $22,500.00 + tax.

New volunteers Steve & Linda Flickinger were added to the Fish & Waterways

Committee and Ron Brumbaugh was added to the Tree, Brush, Vegetation & Noxious

Weeds Committee.

For the 2020 Trustee Election, Janet Corey was named as the DECC.

All staff, committee and trustee reports were accepted.

The Board of Trustees moved to closed session for approximately 30 mins to discuss

legal and employee matters.

The Trustees reconvened at 1:35 pm from closed session. The motion after closed

session was the approval of a year end staff bonus of 1% of wages for all staff for 2020

and 2021.

The meeting was adjourned at 1:36 pm.

I learned today, a political sign was stolen from one of our much loved local artists on 357th and I.
Really??? Someone has stooped so low to steal a sign because they disagree with her political party.
She has multiple cameras on her property and just wants her sign back. If you know anything about this, do the right thing.

Rinda, what sign was stolen? Is it a Rump 45 or a Biden sign?

3:47, what difference does it make? Someone walked onto her property and stole from her.

What am I going to do about it?
