For Those Not Here

They say..."A picture is worth a thousand words"

It is almost 65 degrees here this Thursday afternoon.  This is a picture from the Klipsan Beach Cam.
I am sorry your not here for whatever reason.  As you know, the weather today is about as good as it gets.  About the only thing I can tell you with any certainty, is that the beach will still be here when you return. I just hope when you do return, you can spend your timr enjoying out beautiful area and not spend your time topping trees.

Take care, and stay safe. Most of us want you back, safe and sound.

It’s still as beautiful as I remember from last year, glad you all are getting some great Spring weather to enjoy!

See you all when things lighten up a bit! We'll only get to spend about 3 months but it really changes your mental attitude being in the salt air and hearing the roaring Ocean. Also the frogs on the canal are great early in the year!

Yes, that's a really nice picture. it has been a beautiful day. But it is unrealistic to be living with the pandemic, and not be aware of how much politics has to do with what's happening.

If the mere mention of the POTUS, the governor, or the need for all Americans to have Healthcare coverage is distasteful, then there really is no need for a blog.

Well let’s say I am sure the name of this is Surfside Chat, let’s discuss the local issues.

There are hundreds of blogs if not thousands I’m sure that will discuss the Republicans vs. Democrats.

I will follow but no longer post until this comes back to the local issues concerning Surfside.

Been fun but sorry, I don’t follow the Democratic philosophy.

And that is the Great thing about America, let’s make it great again!

I agree Doug Malley lets get back to Surfside chat.

There really is no such thing as a Democratic philosophy beyond the contention that needs and concerns of all Americans deserve attention. failures on the Federal level have left the country unprepared and without a nationwide policy or leadership.

That has assured that this pandemic will continue to haunt us and impact our lives long term. "The Art of the Deal". It's hard to pretend that any Surfside issues can be addressed without considering the challenges we will face as a result of there being no unified policy uniting all of the nation. How long will part-time residents be expected to stay away when much of the country has never put any binding restrictions in place in their states ?

I'll stay away from the Blog. There's little to discuss really.

Does anyone remember when you were young back in school and one or two kids disobeyed the rules and we were all punished? This past weekend sure brought back those feelings of, “I’m following the rules, why am I being punished?”
It’s one thing to come to your property in Surfside to check on things, follow the safe distance rules ect BUT when we experience this invasion of multiple groups on one lot, cars on the approach with the occupants going on peoples private property and then the needless, dangerous digging of very deep narrow hole on the beach, it blows my mind!
If common sense doesn’t prevail the beach may end up being closed to all of us, even those of us who have followed the rules!

Wish I could be there enjoying the beach with all of this lovely spring weather. But soon enough! We are staying away from our RV lot at least for now. If and when we do come, we will try to bring all provisions from home, extra gas for trip home, etc. so we can hopefully stay away from others as much as possible. We live in a rural area on a couple of acres, so for now we feel a bit safer there than on the small lots in closer proximity in Surfside. Not really sure how far this virus can really spread in the wind & air, but better safe than sorry. Stay safe everyone...I know this is a pain in the rear. But every time I feel like complaining, I just take a deep breath and try to remind myself that I'm hopefully saving someone's life. Stay Safe and Healthy everyone!
