Second Pacific County Resident Confirmed Positive with COVID-19

SOUTH BEND, WA. - The Pacific County Department of Health & Human Services in conjunction with the Pacific County Emergency Operations Center has received notification that an individual from Pacific County has tested positive for COVID-19. At this time, the individual is currently isolated at home.
Pacific County Public Health nurses are conducting a thorough investigation to identify potential exposures and notify close contacts. Contact investigations are critical to track and prevent the spread of disease.
This is the second confirmed positive COVID-19 case for Pacific County. The first case was confirmed on April 10, 2020 and continues to receive care out of state.
The Pacific County Department of Health & Human Services, Washington State Department of Health, and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) are closely monitoring the coronavirus issue (COVID-19) at this time and will continue to update our county with pertinent information as it becomes available.

Those of you that know me know that I am an advocate for freedom and normally I would be against any efforts to minimize that freedom. However I also believe that freedom requires responsibility, and we should maximize that freedom as long as it does not hurt others. In this case, it certainly seems logical to minimize human movement in an effort to not spread the virus and avoid unnecessary trips.
