Local Surfside members Ron & Joanne McMurphy took this picture while on a beach walk.
You can read the details on the Chinook Observer web site and will probably be in the printed addition. The owner was air lifted off by the Coast Guard and is OK. Not so much for the boat.

Yes, had seen this on the news. The large sailboat became disabled and the mast was blown down, of the Coast of long Beach peninsula. Coast Guard rescued the owners. Much easier to deal with than a whale. Thanks McMurphys ! Interesting to see on the beach.
