Another attack at disclosure

Board Member calls blog host "irresponsible"...

Board Trustee Annette Deleest, sent the blog host two (2) Emails about posting Email addresses. Her Emails contained 15 pages of Emails between Board members. She wants to blame me for Emails sent to the wrong people as well as security flaws in others Emails.  I probably should thank her for the information she provided in the Board Emails.  Certainly fodder for future posts, and documented now, in hard copy as well as electronic files.  What is really "irresponsible" is Deleest in her false charge, is to include Emails between members.  With that release, I now consider that public information.  If I was a Board member, my "concern" would be a Board member attacking members and making false statements and accusations.

This is nothing more than an attack against public information being posted by the blog host and those who comment and provide information.

I wanted you to see the results of posting the addresses of board and committee members online.  You have now jeopardized many members electronic security.  Much of this was generated by an unknown person.  It is very detailed and concerning.  This was very irresponsible of you.

Hi Annette,

I do not know what the term "Email Spoofing" means.  Guess it is technical term that I am not familiar with.

What concerns me is that you forwarded a chain of Emails concerning Surfside Board Business.  These Emails should be kept between Board members and not shared.  You seem to be letting your emotional instability effect your Board responsibilities. I consider any Emails sent to me as public disclosure.  I am not a Board member, on any committee and the Surfside Chat blog has no official association with the association. It is social media.

All of the names you provided in the forward, including yours, are readily available on the Surfside web, and news letters.  The list of members with their Email address's is available for purchase from the Business Office.  Further information on members is available through Pacific County. That information includes physical owned locations as well as the mailing address's.  You will find that all of those who hold public office in Pacific County and the municipalities do list contact information including Email addresses.  This is done to provide contact information for the citizens.  This is also why the same practice has always been done by this association.  

When you choose to be in a position, volunteer or elected or paid, you are subject to accountability and communication from those you serve.  There is no such thing t as an anonymous Board, members or volunteers.

You may want to contact Mike of Mike's Computers in Long Beach.  He offers a computer course that you may find useful in understanding how Emails function.  I fail to see any connection to me concerning these Emails.  In fact my name was not included until you forwarded information to me.   I will not respond to your other personal insulting Email with it's false charges.  Any further Emails from you will be considered as "harassment"   If you find it difficult to serve on the Board or a committee without being open and transparent as well as available to members, you should consider resigning.
