If there is an increase  that exceeds 1.6%

Updated 10/31/2019...
Here is what you should have received in the mail with your proxy ballot. It did exceed 1.6%. I reject this budget for many reasons.

Click on the page below once or twice for a larger read:

Social Security has announced that there will be an increase of 1.6% in benefits for 2020.

In this country, state, county and local area, many rely on Social Security for their income.
Any increase in costs for them that is over 1.6%, will be a hardship. For many, to impose higher costs, will mean they have to reduce their spending on medication or/and food.

Many have chosen this county and this area for the lower cost of living. For many, they just get by.

The Budget Committee of Surfside received no guidance on limits for assessments and dues.
There should have been a mandate from the Board on spending limits.
That guidance   should have been...NO increase over 1.6%.
This would force them to make priorities for spending, as it should.  This is the only way they would be forced to keep the budget at an affordable rate.

If the Board fails to keep the dues and assessments affordable, they should be removed.  Any increase over 1.6% is not affordable.
