Out Of Control

Time to clean house....

This Board needs to do their duty and perform the responsibilities for which they were elected.
Several on the Board have created and fostered a climate that cast a shadow over the entire Board.  Their blatant disregard for the rules and regulations continue the downward spiral of our association. Facts and actions concerning the current crisis are being with held from the remaining members on the Board.  It is not fair and underhanded that Board members have to be guilty by association.  Most of the members serving on the Board, are doing so for good reasons.  They are not being given all the information or true information, but are being held accountable by the membership.

We have seven Board members who need to say, enough is enough. They have the power to remove the President and Vice President from their positions.  This is the first step that needs to be done immediately.  They can then sort out this mess and make it clear to the members and governing authorities,  that they are embarking in a new direction of openness and transparency and will be acting according to rules and regulations and in full cooperation with all authorities.

An excuse can be made that.."I didn't know"  While that may be true, it is your responsibility to find out.  We as members and they as Board members, may not like the truth, but having the whole truth is the only way further crisis can be resolved.  The President and Vice President should resign their executive positions, and even better, would be to resign from the Board.   If they don't, it might prove better if the remaining Board removes them.  It would send a clear message that "enough is enough"  We can then start the long process of regaining member confidence and trust.

I may be wrong, but don't think so.  That's the way I see it.

You would think that if any board members don’t agree with business as usual, they would already at least have spoken up. So they agree? Or cowards being bullied? Either is distasteful. Except to the cut n paste individual (s).

Aren't these the same people that the blog host recommended as good people to vote for?

Careful George; the elitists will crucify you like Deb was for asking for these jokers resignations. Don’t get me wrong, I totally agree with everything you have stated. Just hope you don’t wake up with a horse head in your bed! I would put nothing past these nasty characters.

I awoke thinking this was some kind of fascist thing left over from the HOA's origins in the '60's to keep the "blacks out". The tactics and culture around harassment remained well past the Civil Rights Bill. So I looked on line. Look what I found: http://www.hoasyndrome.com/Onceuponatime.HOATales4_final.1.pdf

Here is the link to the site I found: http://www.hoasyndrome.com/Hoasyndrome.html
We are not alone in this.

Nice try.
So, since Deb and Patrick are out of the picture, you've decided to start on George? I think not!
This whole thing is about control. The current knuckleheads drive a platform, and really don't care what the rest of us think. That needs to end.

Not trying to intimidate - an explanation from George about why he changed his mind about certain people would be helpful. As things are, it makes George look like he is a poor judge of character or engaged in sour grapes. I think George has a better explanation that we have not seen.

I think George had a case of wishful thinking. Believe it or not, there are optimists here. But we’ve all been told to shut up and move by what is claimed to be the majority. Although the “majority” seems to only have one or two representatives. Hmmmmm 🧐

Delusional again 12:39

Not really. It's a majority of one.

If your the majority, why afraid to use your name? Surely your not afraid of being harassed by those in power!

After you. After all, you don't have to worry about getting harassed by your boys.

4:41 You should be aware that I'm not part of the group that you seem to be referring to as your boys. I am female and I don't hang around with boys. I am part of the majority who bought property in Surfside knowing that there were covenants to follow that would require my cooperation. I wish I would have known that enforcement only happens with a complaint. The distrust and hate created by this enforcement is not a good thing.

My boys don’t have the power. Cowards in power, not surprised🤷‍♂️

Management, or lack thereof, starts at the top.

Management is a joke. What we have is a business run by non business people. They don't even know they are failing.
