Business Manager Report
Sept. 15, 2018.....Office phone answering after hours
I hope the answering party speaks English, or at least understandable English.

If there is an on call person, why pay for another? Just transfer the phones.
I don't like the idea of a third party having access to my phone number or any thing else about me. Another incompetent move on the behave of the office manager in my mind.
From the remodeled office to the answering service, I see more and more distance between the staff and the membership. Is this a siege mentality? "After hours" just reframes the call-screening.
Agree with 8:40...if there is a on-call person just forward the call to them. Not sure what type of emergency besides a water leak couldn't wait for the next business day.
Sorry guys, but you dont get to vote. Just pay the dues and assessments and shut up. We board members make all the decisions. I dont even know why you bother trying.
The on call person does not answer all incoming calls, they work on the problem. If there is a main break this will allow all members to be contacted any day of the week or at any time of day. I don't mind not bothering our guys if they are working to restore the water, I think this is a good idea for a community with its own water system.
The water department doesn't take calls during a main break, they do not make calls during a main break. An answering service would be to advise of the situation not answer every question about why it broke. The office staff doesn't even have that info during a break because they can't talk to the water staff because they are working to fix the issues.
Advise of the situation? Really?, lack of water pretty much explains itself. During our last major problem, office was manned n bottled water given out. Answering service waste of money for stupid after hour questions that u admitted wouldn’t be useful other than, “yup, it broke again.lol
Hoping that this nonsense with an answering machine has been squelched. We need to be thrifty as we are gonna be stuck with heavy fines for the clowns’ mistakes.
Give me a break! They wasted some more of OUR monies. Heard they drink bottled water too. Why can’t they bring their water bottles from home like we did in our offices if they won’t drink the REALLY GOOD AND SAFE water in SHOA. When the h—l is all of this gonna stop? Come on members: start protesting!!!

Ridiculous expense! What next? When will a member/members stop this insanity with spending???
Wonder if she spends, spends, spends her personal budget like the SHOA budget? Not so much I betcha. Easy to squander others money.
What couldn’t possibly wait cept water probs, n they got thier own number n someone on call.
I'd love to know where she went to college and learned to write professional reports. Stay away from that school!
I'm guessing they're getting the answering service to cover their butts!
VOTE NO TO ANSWERING SERVICE!

The whole lot of us - Board, Staff, Members - we've all got it like the measles. HOA SYNDROME. Laugh or Cry.

There is a separate water dept after hours number. Don’t understand need for an answering service, they can’t answer our questions.

Doesn’t the opinion of members matter to this crazy idea?
Members’ opinions should rule the SHOA. It’s high time to take the control out of.BOD hands and make SHOA a good thing again.
8:54 AM since 15% of members vote and probably 1/10 of 1 % participate in committees your comment is wishful thinking or just plain ignorant.

They have an answering service for after hours, give it a call and see for yourself
