Where is the water quality we were promised with the new carbon filtration plant?
There was supposed to be an improvement in the color, and it has only gotten worse. There are reports all over Surfside about the color of the water, not to mention the smells.
Seems to me that the more we spend the worse it gets. Now we are flushing at night and as I remember an issue was flushing before the new plant, and we are now flushing again. Now it is reported that the filter material will need replacing sooner than expected. There is something wrong.
It seems like we are in a trial and error mode of operations. Clean water should not be rocket science. The engineering firm of Gray and Osborn may not be our best choice for advice.
I may be wrong, but it is how I see it.
Bill Neal or a representative from the water department are invited to speak here to the above issues. The members deserve an explanation. Just talk to us. Saying nothing is worse than saying something we don't like.
