THAT TIME AGAIN

 Only requirement...Must have a pulse

+To All Surfside Members

We will be taking applications in a month or so for positions on the

board. The election will be at the annual meeting in July.

If you are interested; every trustee is assigned a committee for which they

are liaison. If you currently are not involved in a committee and are

interested in a position on the board, it’s in your and the membership’s

best interest to get involved in a committee right away.

There are 3 positions open for 2021, Mark Scott, Rudd Turner and

Gary Williams

Committees include:

Community Relations, Emergency Management, Fish & Waterways, Lands

& Buildings, Water System Planning , Architectural Review Commit

  1. Fish & Waterways - Oh, you mean Drainage Ditches. The committee needs to be named that. I've attended a few of those meetings. That's what the board members says they are. They say it's impossible to clean them up and it's too expensive.

  2. I am sad today, as yet another neighbor is going down with cancer. As anecdotal experience, whenever I hear this I notice a great looking property with a lot of chemicals - bugs, weeds, and rodents have all been vanquished. This becomes problematic when I feel pressure for my own lot to look like theirs. I hope any new Board members will be respectful of the wild world we live in, and not poison themselves, or suggest others also poison themselves, to keep up with the Jones's.

    1. Cancer takes many forms and our lives are effected by a huge array of chemicals, medications, polution, and on & on. Use of yard chemicals is not widespread in Surfside, and are used in dilute amounts. It is pointless to blame an imaginary cause. Your friend passed away and will be missed. Enough said. I have cancer and hope it will not progress and threaten my life.

  3. Really Bob? Had to say THAT?

Unfortunately, that's just how things are nowadays.

  4. Yah, what's up Bob!
That's how our law enforcement types treat people. I see Bob. It doesn't surprise me one bit.

  6. End the tree policy. There is no guaranteed view.

  7. As a person who loves wildlife and loves to garden I make a point to always replant Tree's, Flower's and shrub's when ever I have to remove one for any reason. It's just part of who I am and knowing that other wildlife can benefit from them just as much as I can. So with all the demands for cutting, removing and shorting tree's in our HOA why not order some replacements from Arbor Day Foundation?

  10. Isn't protecting views illegal? If so, why does Surfside get to do it?
    Something doesn't add up!

  11. Because the tree heights are the same as the building heights. The CCR do not mention a view, that was the way around the issue

  12. Don’t know if anyone rad the sheriffs report in the Chinook Observer this week. “Feb 4 Surfside at 2:19 pm. Threats were alleged over trees being cut”. I really think it’s time for the BOT to review this covenant. Is it really for the betterment of all members?

  13. How do I find the article to read? I can't find it on the Chinook Observer website.

  14. Were the threats against the board? Did Clancy call the police?

  15. As here in AZ you have to be a paid up member with a pulse.

  16. JoAnn - the wolves currently own the henhouse.

Prediction: threats will deteriorate from here. Physical violence next.
The board may spout all the legalities, but as long as they keep screwing the membership this will happen.

  18. You also have to be in with The Faction.

Hi 4:12, aka Larry A., what's your The Faction like in AZ? Do they keep a lot of information secret and do backroom deals too?

  19. Has anyone checked lighthouse reality lately??
