New Business Manager

Off to a bad start...

I I know nothing about the new Business Manager.  There should hqave been an article about her in the last weeks Weakender, and being none, there should have been something this week. The members deserve to know a few brief  facts about her work experience and a brief bio, The members and new Business Manager, deserve no less. At the least, she should have written something herself and had it published in the Weakender. Certainly there will be something in the news letter, out soon.  What a shame that the members have to get this kind of information from a blog.   We wish her well in this important position.++I am including a "comment" made on this blog about the new Business Manager. ..Read the top of this home page on my cautions about postings and comments.

May be for a new posting George, but looks like the new Business Manager may have a hard time. When she tried for Rainier city administrator she stated she would focus on transparency, and lauded her strengths in managing finances. And do we know why she resigned as the finance director for Port of Ilwaco, then quickly reversed her decision, though she was offered a nice severance package to leave? While with the Port, she consistently reported excessive expenditures to the Board. Will she do that kind of reporting here, or was it part of her leaving there and now she knows how to play the game. I'm assuming with her age, and amount she has previously moved around Washington, Oregon, and Montana, this will be her cushy retirement job and will do as the Board directs her to, not support the membership who is paying her salary.

And that she is still listed as CEO of an Environmental company, no conflict of interest I assume if Surfside has any projects like that.

Much like our flawed election process, I see that this posting lacks interest of correcting.

What are you talking about? Too cryptic to make sense.

And why did we need a Business Manager? Do the BOT not run the HOA? Rudd can bumble his way thru paying everything they want, why pay for another person in the Office? Sorry in my time in Surfside I have not been impressed by the competence of any of the employees. This includes all employees, office, water, compactor, the real world would not tolerate their incompetence.
